We are thrilled to announce that South Holyoke Homes Phase 1 has received funding and that 12 units of affordable housing will be built on the corner of Hamilton and South East Streets! The Governor made the announcement that the project will receive funding through the Community Scale Housing Initiative, a joint program of MassHousing and the Department of Housing and Community Development. Thanks to everyone who supported our application, signed a petition, filled out a survey, or gave input at a community meeting!
$6.5M MassWorks Grant Awarded to Support South Holyoke Homes
On December 10th, Governor Baker announced a $6.5M MassWorks infrastructure grant. The funding will include utility upgrades for water and sewer; streetscape improvements including new sidewalks, streets, bike lanes, lighting and trees; improved alleyways with new lighting; and a new greenspace at the intersection of Sargeant, Clemente and South East Streets.
